When the Frame Looms Greater, 2017
Assembly Point Gallery @ Creative Spaces Victoria, Southbank, Melbourne
Vinyl flooring, imitation wood flooring, glass, wood, acrylic paint, oil on canvass board, recliner chair with motor, carpet, plants, ceramic vases, fake plants, LED lights
This artwork consists of various elements installed across the 5 vitrines of the Assembly Point exhibition space. This work uses the location as a reference point for a selection of materials and concepts. The work plays the line between minimal grandeur and the banal. It pushes the limits of the gallery's aura into the surrounding space.

The electric recliner chair with landscape painting (vitrine 2) situates the viewer towards a domestic reading of otherwise hardened and pragmatic surfaces found in civil spaces, and increasingly in the home.
